I’m so excited for what God has in store for us…and for you! I sense he has been prodding many of us to “take things to the next level” in some area of life, maybe even more than one. This is such an exciting place to be; but let’s be honest, it’s also scary, and confronting, and sometimes confusing! Not because God is confused. (He’s not!) But because we can get into our own minds and create all sorts of scenarios that lead to confusion, intimidation and even paralyzation. How do I know? Well….I’ve been there more than a few times myself.
But friends, this is a hopeful message!
I believe God wants to affirm what you’ve been hearing or sensing, and also provide a strategy for you to take that next step—however big or small that step is! He loves that you are willing to go, willing to trust and willing to serve in a greater capacity. Trust the words he’s given you; in fact, these words are actually the building blocks for this new season of life. They contain the power, creativity, insight and even revelation you need to follow him wherever he is leading you.
Ok, so remember that: his word is trustworthy…and he’s given you the words you need to move forward into this next level. As I was thinking of you all this morning, Holy Spirit took me to 1 Corinthians 2:
This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers. But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. And we articulate these realities with the words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words. (1 Corinthians 2:9-10, 13)
How awesome is that!?! God is showing us a “new reality” for our life, ministry, relationships, finances…and then he helps us “articulate these realities” in the words he gives us. I don’t know if you are getting this, but this is so powerful.
If you are like me, sometimes I hear an encouraging word or scripture from the Lord and I think “Oh, that’s so nice. That made me feel really good.” But then we move on and miss the power of the moment! God is actually articulating a new reality for you through the words he speaks into your life. Don’t miss this, friend. Don’t be too busy or too hurt, angry, upset or whatever is going on, to miss the reality he is attempting to establish in your life.
I know I’ve talked about this before, but this is why having regular focus words is so critical! When you have a word for the year, for the quarter, for each month—you basically have a roadmap for where God is leading and the reality he wants to create in your life. As you agree with those words, and actually articulate them, out loud, in your journal, in cards, letters, paintings—wherever— these words bring life and creation and power into situations, relationships and circumstances.
Today, I thought I would share a few of these realities I sense God wanting to establish in our lives. But I also encourage you to read back through your journals or the list few things you highlighted in a book, and see what God is really saying. Don’t be too busy to hear what he wants to tell you about this season, about your future and about what’s next.
- God is reworking my mindsets, my vision, dreams and goals, and my expectations!
- I am becoming the person I need to be to experience everything Jesus sees for me, everything he has planned and purposed for me.
- I am breaking through my belief ceiling and living at a higher level of faith, wholeness and revelation.
- I am aware of my emotional state and am learning to live at ease, in rest and enjoy a perpetual state of bliss!
Please, make your own list; consider the areas he is calling you to go higher and deeper. Ask him to show you the new realities he wants to create in your life and relationships. This is a powerful strategy, friends! I hope this encourages you to take those next steps and go wherever he is leading you.
I’d love to hear all about it, and what’s next for you! Don’t hesitate to email or reach out,
Love you, friends,
