Good morning friends,
Everything the Spirit has been saying to us lately is about our identity; he wants us to see ourselves as we truly are, not as victims to circumstances–or to 2020!
You are not a victim. You are not subject to this world and what is happening in it. You are a Son of God, which means you have authority over the seen world, not the other way around. Deuteronomy 28:13 describes it this way: And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath….
The Holy Spirit is saying “come out from under.” If you are feeling buried by the problems the world is facing, or those you and your family are facing, this message is for you. You do not belong underneath, but above. I love how this verse says it: you are ABOVE ONLY. That is how–and where–God sees you. He is not looking under a pile of junk to see you. He sees you riding high, easily soaring above whatever is going on in life right now.
Is it hard right now? It is. Do we have to work harder to stay encouraged and above our circumstances? We do. I don’t know exactly what you are facing today, but I know that you are bigger than whatever it is! You have already won a victory…the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world (1 John 4:4).
2020 is not the boss of us. 2020 doesn’t get to call the shots. We do. And it’s time to let it know we are in charge and we are going to take our rightful place ABOVE everything that is going on in the world. This means nothing that is happening, none of the junk, fear, strife can touch us. We are too far above it and we choose not to live in it or even worse, under it.
Take some time to see yourself above whatever has been trying to dominate you. Maybe it’s fear, worry over the future, anger about what you see or hear in the news, dealing with physical challenges or helping sick family members, unemployment, stress, homeschooling, or just all of it. Take a deep breath and take your rightful place above it all. Refuse to see yourself under, subject to, or affected by any of it. You are strong, at peace, and overflowing with supernatural joy. This is who you are friends, no matter what circumstances try to tell you.
Love you all,
Sue
